 in a rural setting in North Yorkshire, England, known for its scenic landscapes and incredible views.  Historically belonging to Byland Abbey and where monks came to enjoy a rest dating back to Cistercian times.  Artists came  as far back as the early 1900s taking up their easels in our fields to paint and writers to seek inspirations from around them. The land has so much to give to relax and refresh you . Short-breaks because everyone needs the chance to charge their batteries once in a while

NEW FOR 2024 – we are offering breaks throughout the year to join others in a comfortable setting within the rejuvenating atmosphere of the garden.  Come and meet like minded female guests who like to garden and enjoy the countryside around them . Whether it be walking, birdwatching or just relax and watch the world go by . A great base to come back to every day after exploring the local area. Enjoy the local food which is on offer.

Rambling roses, bluebells, deer and wild birds are in abundance within this 400-acre seat of rural life. Only 18 miles north of the ancient city of York and 6 miles from the pretty market town of Helmsley. Castle Howard is just a 15 minutes drive away North Yorkshire is steeped in history, boasting ancient castles, historic abbeys, and charming villages frozen in time. History buffs can explore sites  Byland Abbey just down the road and Rievaulx Abbey just over the hill  immersing themselves in centuries of English Heritage.

Carr House Farm is the  perfect spot for you . This 16th century farmhouse dates back to 1530 and is full of history, memories and charm. The three comfortable bedrooms are characterful with warm, comfy beds with views over the south facing garden
